Is the Application fee refundable if the visa is not granted?

If you are applying through the ICA website the application fee for the visa is approximately AED 650 however in case of rejection of visa the amount of AED 500 is refundable.

So if you will not get the visa or visa is not granted the sum of amount approx AED 150 will be deducted for service charges and AED 500 will be refund to you.

This visa is valid for 5 years it means you can enter UAE within 5 years from the date of issuance of this visa but once you enter in UAE you can stay only maximum 90 days per entry.

However you can apply on same ICA website to extend your stay to maximum 180 days.

What are the penalties if I overstay holding this visa?

If you stay after the permitted time under the tourist visa you must pay AED 100 per day as fine and some extra charges for the Exit permit on your departure time. It is recommended to leave the country before expiry of your visa or expiry of your permitted stay duration else it will be difficult to get UAE visa again.
