How to get family visa in UAE, required documents, minimum Salary - Full step by step Guide

Sponsoring your family in UAE is much easier than before. Few years before only some allowed professional could sponsor their family in UAE but now the government of UAE has given a lot of relaxation to sponsor the families of expats living in UAE. Now the family sponsorship criteria is depend on your salary per month.
If you are getting minimum AED 4000 per month or AED 3000 + Accommodation then you can easily bring your family in UAE on resident visa.
Who can sponsor their family in UAE?
- Any Employee who is getting minimum AED 4000 or AED 3000 salary in UAE can bring their family on residence visa.
- Any type of profession employee can bring their family on residence visa.
- Residents are not allowed to sponsor their married daughter.
- Residents can sponsor their son on family visa up to 18 years, if he is studying then till 25 years age.
- If the father is living in UAE and meets the criteria to sponsor their children then mother is not allowed to sponsor their children.
- Muslims are allowed to sponsor their second wife if they meet the certain conditions.
- A woman can sponsor their family if her salary is minimum AED 8000 plus Accommodation.
- The woman should be a high skill profession like doctor, Nurse, teacher or engineer or any other profession under medical sector.
- Every person who is 18+ to qualify for residence visa they must pass the medical fitness test at any government approves medical centers.
- Residents can sponsor their step children subject to General Director of residents and Foreign affairs.
- Dependents will get only entry permit after opening of resident visa file and after their medical test the resident visa will be provided to them.
Documents required for family visa in UAE
- Passport copies of wife and Children
- Sponsor original passport & Emirates ID
- White Background One photo for each Member
- Original Birth certificate for child (if any) (Attested from UAE Embassy in Home country and Foreign affairs in UAE)
- Original Marriage Certificate (Attested from UAE Embassy in your Home country & Foreign Affairs In UAE)
- Original Ejari Certificate (Other Emirates Tenancy should attest from municipality & Electric bill of home.)
- Labour Contract (Salary in contract should be min AED 4000 or AED 3000+ accomodation provided by company)
- Original Salary Certificate (For Free zone / Government / semi government employee)
Note: Tenancy / Ejari should be in name of Sponsor.

Steps to follow for family visa in UAE

There are several steps to follow to get visa stamp on your family member's passport. Here are the steps below
to follow:

Collection of documents
The first steps to follow for the family visa is to arrange all the soft copy of above mentioned documents and Original Emirates ID of Sponsor.

File submission
Every member of family should have a new file entry from the GDRFA. After submission of all your required documents the GDRFA will generate a new file number on which basis the entry permit will be issued.

Entry permit
After generating your file number the GDRFA will issue Entry permit for all the Applicants.

Entry to Dubai
After getting the entry permit which can be send through email to the family members to book the ticket and to enter Dubai. Note: If the members are already in UAE on Tourist visa they must change status which can be an extra cost of Approx AED 1200 per member

Medical test
After Entry in UAE the all family members excluding the Children under age of 18 must go through the Medical test in any Government approved Medical centers.

- Passport Copy
- Valid Entry permit
- Passport size photos with white background
- Emirates ID
When your Medical Report is passed you can submit the Emirates ID form with these required documents

- Insurance
As per the Dubai Health Authority all residents should have medical insurance plan approved by Dubai health Authority for process of Visa stamping in issuing Residency.
Your family members are not under any company while you are the sponsor of your family so its is your responsibility to provide the insurance to your family to issue residency visa.
Personal insurance per person can be bought for minimum AED 500 to approx AED 1500 per year.
