How to renew your Indian Passport in UAE, required documents and fees - Full guide

Here is the guideline below to renew the Indian passport in the UAE, including required documents, processing time, total fee for renewal.

All the Indian residents in UAE can renew their passport through the dedicated BLS International Services. You can submit the application in BLS international Services so the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi or Consulate general of India can process your application and renew your passport.

• Passport validity should be one year of the date of expiry
• Any correction or change in name, spouse name endorsement or address change or any change in your front bio page will be possible through renewal of your passport
• You can renew your passport which is valid more than one year but has less than 10 blank pages
• Any changes or correction in your passport need valid documentary evidence.
• Renewal of passport which is already expired from last six months or less than 5 years are need to write a request letter mentioning the reason for delayed renewal. If expiry date has been passed more than 5 years you must need approval from Consulate general of India Dubai.
• If the applicant have pending court case in India or in Dubai he will be only eligible for Short Validity Passport (SVP)

If you are a valid resident's visa holder in UAE these below document s are required to renew your passport-

• Online filled printed passport Application form
• 2 recent photographs 51mm x 51mm with white background
  (It is advised to take photo in BLS centers as majority of photos take from outside are rejected in BLS centers)
• Signature on form should be in Black Ink
• Original passport of the applicant
• Emirates ID of the applicant

Note: Always visit BLS centers for renewal of your passport not to Consulate of India or Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

If you want to change anything in your passport detail like your name, address or correction of anything your application may go under police verification from India and it can take more time than average

If you want to renew your child passport in UAE, you may need to submit some additional documents like below

• Online filled printed passport Application form
• 2 recent photographs 51mm x 51mm with white background. It is advised to take photo in BLS center s as majority of photos take from outside are rejected in BLS centers
• Original passport of the applicant
• Emirates ID of the applicant
• Original passports of both parents
• Original Emirates IDs of both parents

Note: Both parents should come to the BLS centers with their child for verification purpose.

Take your filled application with all required photocopy of documents visit, the BLS centers and take a token there.

Note: Try to fill your application at BLS centers by their employees so it will be better for you and you can avoid the rejection of application. You should not take your photo from outside, it is advisable to take your application photo at BLS centers only. They reject majority of photos from outside
